Computational and Statistical Genomics

I am a DPhil (PhD) student in Interdisciplinary Bioscience at University of Oxford under the supervision of Gerton Lunter. My research focuses on computational genomics and bioinformatics, in which I use statistical methods such as machine learning to understand non-coding functional genomics and gene regulatory networks from next-generation sequencing data. Specifically, I am developing algorithms and pipelines to improve the interpretation of bulk and single-cell chromatin accessibility data. I am also interested in exploring the causal relationship between genes and non-coding cis-regulatory elements. I also contributed heavily in several collaboration projects within Centre for Computational Biology, MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine and the Doctoral Training Centre, such as ComoModels to explore transmission dynamics modelling of COVID-19.
